Our story

Made slowly,
on purpose.

Field Day started with a simple frustration: beautiful linen clothing that was either wildly expensive or made by the tens of thousands, most of it destined for a markdown rack. We wanted a third way — a small, honest collection you could actually live in.

The idea

Fifteen pieces. No more than we can make well.

We design a tight collection — shirts, dresses, pants and a couple of accessories — that all work together. Same fabric, same five colorways, cuts that layer and mix. You're not buying into a trend that vanishes next season; you're buying a piece of a small, coherent wardrobe.

Everything is cut from midweight European flax and garment-washed until it's soft. It wrinkles. That's linen being linen, and it's part of why it feels the way it does. It gets better the more you wear and wash it.

How made-to-order works

Three steps, no surprises.

01

You place an order

Browse the collection, choose your sizes and colors, and place your order — with no payment up front. Add a note if you have fit questions or a color you'd love that we don't list.

02

We confirm it personally

A real person (hi) reads every order. We check your details, talk through fit if anything looks off, then email you a confirmation and an invoice with your total and shipping.

03

We make & ship it

Once you've paid, your pieces are cut and sewn to order. Most orders ship within two to three weeks. Nothing is mass-produced, nothing is wasted.

Why no instant checkout

Because a person, not a warehouse, makes your clothes.

Big stores can take your money the instant you click because a box is already sitting on a shelf. We don't work that way. Your piece doesn't exist until you order it — so it makes sense to confirm the details together first, then handle payment.

It's a little slower and a lot more personal. You get exactly what you want, we make exactly what's needed, and nothing ends up in a landfill. That trade feels right to us.
